Post Covid-19: Reopening of Bagages Du Monde – France
Sunday 15/03 at 5.30 a.m: Roissy CDG Airport
We received a message from Paris Airports announcing that following government decisions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were obliged to close the agency until further notice.
The recent events had led to a traffic decline for a few months prior to this incident and we had already been anticipating this decision. The situation was critical and we had no time to simply sit around asking too many questions. We had to act fast and provide the necessary support to our customers.
The situation was getting worse and worse until it was finally announced by the French Government that France would be under general confinement. It is our job to serve our customers and therefore we could not imaging letting them go without their belongings. Passengers that had left their luggage in the locker room would have to collect their belongings, despite the administrative closure.
We organised ourselves urgently, managing to find solutions to satisfy 98% of them.
Fast Forward to today
It has been 108 f days since we closed. Between technical unemployment and partial activity, the period has and still is very difficult.
The crisis affected us immensely, maybe more than we imagined. It certainly is unprecedented in our whole sector of activity.
So after some small work related to COVID… or not
We did some cleaning!
Today 2nd July 2020, is the big day!
Now dear customers & partners, we are counting on you. Thank you for supporting us and know that we value each and every single one of you.
Note that the service is also resuming for Air Transport Animal, your live animal transport service by plane.
A special thanks to our very first client who, before leaving for Noumea, came to see us.
See you soon!
