Etihad Cargo to add Paris CDG freighter flights
Etihad Cargo is launching a new weekly freighter service to Paris CDG on January 7, aiming to strengthen connections between Europe and Asia. The service will use a Boeing 777 freighter to link Paris with Etihad’s home base in Abu Dhabi, creating access to key Asian cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Zhengzhou. The network is further supported by a road feeder system in China, ensuring seamless cargo movement.
Stanislas Brun, Vice President of Cargo at Etihad Cargo, called the new route a significant step forward. “Adding Paris to our freighter network is a strategic milestone. It not only expands our presence in Europe but also supports growing demand for specialised cargo, such as pharmaceuticals and perishables,” he said.
The Paris route will also connect to Etihad’s passenger network, opening up destinations like Riyadh, Manila, Mumbai, Jakarta, Seoul, Sydney, and Kuala Lumpur. This expanded network will cater to various shipment needs, including general cargo, live animals, automotive goods, and cultural items. Specialised products like pharmaceuticals will benefit from the airline’s PharmaLife service, while perishables will be handled under FreshForward.
Paris becomes the 12th destination in Etihad Cargo’s freighter network, marking another step in its mission to deliver tailored solutions and enhance global connectivity for its customers.
