Mauritian borders will be opening

Mauritius has announced that the Mauritian borders will be opening for international travellers as from 15th of July 2021. However; the island is expected to be opened in two phases.

Phase 1: From 15th July – 30th September, only fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed. They will have to take a PCR test 7 -5 days prior departure stating a negative result to access the island. Travellers will also have a PCR test on arrival at the airport in Mauritius and on day 7 and 14 of their resort holiday.

Travellers will be restricted to facilities within their resorts, including swimming pools and private beaches but can start exploring the island if they stay longer than 14 days and test negative from a PCR.

Phase 2: From 1st of October, travellers will be allowed in the island without any restriction if they provide a negative PCR test taken 74 hours before departure.
